Joey's Triathlon and Camping Joey has been training for an olympic distance triathlon that takes place May 1. Part of his training was the sprint triathlon in Lakeland on the 16th. Not only was it great practice for Joey, it was also great for me to learn where to stand to be able to cheer and take pictures most effectively! :) Joey did great even though his timing chip didn't work, so we don't know his splits. He swam a quarter mile, biked 12, and ran 3.5 miles! Early start to our day--5:00 AM

Koa's First Camping Adventure Our friends, Vanessa, Zach, and Mila, invited us to go camping to celebrate Zach's birthday. We thought it sounded like a fun adventure, and since it was close to home, decided to give it a go. My friend from work, Pam, gave us an awesome screened gazebo that really helped keep the babies safe from the mosquitoes and we borrowed a tent from our friend, Ashley. (Our "three man" tent is no longer big enough for our growing family!) We really enjoyed the company of great friends--some of whom we met for the first time on this trip! Unfortunately, our trip ended early (2 AM) as Koa woke up with a strange seal-like cough and difficulty breathing. We loaded the dogs up and took him straight to the ER where they diagnosed him with Acute Croup. He was given a breathing treatment and some steroids. After two and a half hours, he was released and feeling much better. Joey and I think Koa just didn't want us to miss out on the middle-of-the-night ER visit before he turned one. Thanks, Koa--so thoughtful! Koa in his hiking boots.

Orlando Weekend/Britton's Birthday Party Our good friends, Leah and Brian, got married in Orlando on Friday. What a beautiful ceremony and reception. We had so much fun! Joey just happened to have a softball tournament in Orlando on Saturday, so that worked out very well. Koa and I stayed for the first game before we headed back to Tampa for our friend, Britton's first birthday party. Elmo and a pirate were also invited to Britton's party--and they were so much fun! Me and the Beautiful Bride!

Easter Basket Hunt (We didn't film Katie finding hers...)We celebrated Easter with Tutu Mabel by going swimming and eating yummy food. The Easter Bunny was good to Koa at her house, too! :)
