It's a Wizard of Oz Halloween

We have been truely blessed with a great group of friends from our labor and delivery class. We have enjoyed watching these "babies" grow up over the past year and a half and now three of them are going to be BIG brothers/sister in another six months or less! We got a kick out of dressing them up as the Wizard of Oz this year and had a party at our house with a few other guest appearances: a pumpkin and Minnie Mouse!

Trick-or-Treat

On our way to trick-or-treat, we stopped at Tutu Mabel's house. Koa and Gaine got to practice their "trick-or-treat" before we hit the road. We met up at Layla's house with Gaine and pulled the kids around in a wagon. Koa was the spokesman for the group and repeating "trick-or-treat" over and over as we went from house to house. They really did a good job and got a kick out of getting candy put in their buckets. At one point, Gaine managed to get some smarties open and share with the group!

Pumpkins in Ohio

Koa and I went to Ohio for a week while Joey was working early hours. It was really nice to visit with my family (although we really missed Joey) and it was nice for Joey to be able to come home and sleep and not feel as if he is missing out on Koa time! Koa and I also really enjoyed surprising Grandpa and Grandma Shafer with the exciting news of Baby K #2.

We really had an enjoyable time visiting with my parents. We just wish Joey could have joined us...it just isn't the same without Daddy around! Surprising my parents with the baby news face to face was an extra special treat as well! I don't think they stopped smiling the entire time we were there!
